The Social Web for Social Good
Our client Boonoob is a social networking platform that helps people meet each other and make new friends. They’ve hosted hundreds of public and private events over the past few years.
Wanting to host a New Year’s Eve party, they came to us asking for a solution. We offered them a live streaming video platform to celebrate the New Year without worrying about the Pandemic and even use it every other time they hosted an online event.
The Live Streaming Video Platform
Getting the job done before the New Year was quite a challenge, so we dedicated a whole team to this project. First, we focused on the booking process, integrating platforms such as Eventbrite with our own solution so users could buy the ticket there and then use it to enter the website and enjoy the party. Then to have a high-quality, reliable live streaming video for 24 hours, we used the Vimeo live streaming platform. We also added a live public chatbox and a Zoom group to talk with friends and connect with others while partying and enjoying the music.
Through out the process they scheduled meetings with us weekly or sometimes bi-weekly to ensure that the project is on the right path. They delivered the project on time so we could host our party.”

How Final Results Look Like

Because of the remarkable amount of interest shown by users, our client decided to continue using the platform, presenting a replay of the New Year’s Eve party.

Our client is all about spreading happiness and love, so is there a better day than Valentine’s Day, the day of love, to do this?
On the 14th of February, a slightly modified version of our live streaming video platform was used by Boonoob to host another online event named Lovefest, where people could chat with each other and enjoy the live show at the same time.
